VANOC kindling a greener olympic flame - high on carbon monoxide apparently
Apparently the Vancouver Olympic Committee (VANOC) is concerned that the olympic flame might not be green enough. Or orange enough really. Allegedly the more orange the flame is, the worse it is for the environment (colour theory - more orange = less green?). They could use cleaner burining fuels, but then no one would be able to see the majestic flame pass them by, which is the entire point.
Am I taking crazy pills? Given the scale of construction engendered by the olympics here, not to mention the sea of disposable shit that people will be buying, does it make a speck of fucking difference whether they use a clean burning fuel or not?
I mean for frack sakes, there’s a motorcade travelling with the torch!
Thanks for the green lip-service though…
